Could low calcium and alkinity be causing my gold maxima to gap like this. my calium is at about 280 and my alkinity is at about 8.6 dkh.

I'm not a clam expert, and I just caught this thread passing by, but definitely get those water parameters up ASAP:eek:!

With a calc reactor, how come Ca++ and Alk are so low? Have you verified your test kit readings?

To solve this problem, I would perform a massive water change and then use a balanced supplement to boost your values the rest of the way.
