Best phosphate test kit

Hey guys I have yet to find a good phosphate test kit. I really don't like the ones that have color shadings that are so close they make me feel color blind. I researched and there are quite a few out there. Let me know your preference. Thanks

I use the API reef kit, and have no issues determining the phosphate levels.

Salifert makes really precise testers, but they are very pricy

Agreed. I got the Salifert test kit. But it was worth it.

All are color comparison ones that I have trouble telling 0 from 0.1 and 0.1 from 0.25...except..

Hanna checker. The one you want is the ultra low range phosphorus. It gives you ppb phosphorus, which you can convert to ppm phosphate.

I like the Elos pro it seems much more consistent compared to the checker for me

Why bother with the math when you can print out a conversion table from their website(did I mention I suck at, and hate math?)?


I also have the Hanna phosphate kit that reads at higher ranges if needed.
