180 gallon peninsula tank flow

I’m trying to decide on flow for my 180 gallon tank ( I just tore it down for a restart/move, also debating on an upgrade )

Would 2 Mp40s on the over flow end be enough flow for a sps tank? Since it will be set up as a peninsula I don’t want powerheads anywhere else.

Will you have a canopy?

If so, use a gyre at the top of the peninsula end. You wouldn’t see the cord all that much.

I have a 150 which is the same foot print and found that two mp40s on one side didn’t work. It blasted the rocks close to them but only provided light flow on the opposite side. So I ended up adding extra power heads to get full coverage
