We have a Biocube 32. Today is the second time in a month I found the exquisite wrasse in the back left compartment. (I had fed with shrimp yesterday afternoon, I assume is when it happened and I didn’t notice)

The last time, once I got the net in there it was surprisingly easy to capture. This time the wrasse seems very shy, staying way toward the bottom. I don’t think there’s a chance for me netting it unless it stays near the top.

I tried poking around gently with a plastic stick, which didn’t accomplish anything. I wonder about having some kind of barrier in place every time I have the lid up like that. Though with my luck it may then jump onto the carpet.

I’m certainly interested in suggestions, thanks.

You can always get a piece of acrylic cut to cover your compartments as long as you have louvres for your water to still pass through and then just keep a screen on the rest of your tank. Wrasses are notorious jumpers, I just run a screen top but havent had them jump into overflow yet luckily
