Just want to know if my shrimp is male or female, i think i read that the male is darker but i dont know for sure

Shrimps are both male and female, any two will pair, eggs carried under the tail and fall off in 14 days, same fir skunk and peps...

Really, i never new that. So my shrimp looks very dark red from when i bought it, when it molts will it show a brighter red or its always gonna stay that dark

Your pic colour looks normal to me. Some appear darker but this is lighting effects.
Their red may look darker when under different lighting, especially depending on the amount of blue, if all blue, they look black.
I have not seen them ever go lighter or darker, but maybe others have seen this.
If you have blues, turn them off, then look at the shrimp again.....then turn off the whites....he will look black.
