Hello Everyone
My reef is freshly cycled and all is well...
I want to begin a minimum dosing of No3PO4 (NOPOX) from Red Sea.

Is it ok to start using it this soon on a minimum dose basis to curtail bad algae?

Your input please.

Thanks
Tim

Sure you can carbon dose now if you want..

Carbon dosing requires available nitrate & a little phosphate. You could use NoPox or some other carbon source to reduce them if necessary. Without N or P, carbon dosing isn't very effective. So the answer to your question is "yes you can". The better answer would qualify that to "if you need to reduce existing N & P".

Do you have phosphates and nitrates? If not why would you?

The NOPOx is safe to dose, and it might help keep algae under control.

Nopox does little or none for phosphate, it’s great on managing nitrate.
Phosphate can be lowered more effectively through Using an LC or GFO
