So I'm going to be drilling my 65 gallon soon and I have some concern with the size of bulkheads I have along with my hole saw. I ordered a 35mm diamond hole saw to drill holes large enough to fit 3/4" bulkheads for my overflow, however; I am seeing that many recommend atleast 1" size holes. Would my GPH be sufficient with this size bulkhead or should I re-lrder parts to accommodate the 1" idea? Thank you!

I personally wouldn't use a 3/4" bulkhead on anything but a 20G or smaller tank drain setup..
Anything larger gets 1" bulkheads (or more)..
Are you doing a bean style overflow? or herbie/durso?

I'll be doing a bean animal setup. I actually decided to up the size and returned the fittings and drill bit.

Get schedule 80 bulkheads if you can.
Way sturdier than the regular 40.

are schedule 8p fittings readily available? Everything I'm seeing is online

Not that common but worth the wait. When you have the 2 side by side you’ll know what I mean.
Got mine from BRS.

IMO sch80 is overkill for this...on a larger system its not too crazy but on a 65 they will just take up too much room

I still havent decided yet. Waiting on the overflow box to arrive and then will decide
