Hey so i got my mother a bta for christmas
Its been in the tank about a week. I went to check on it just now and found it like the second photo. The firat was taken a couple of hours earlier.
To be the bta looks really deflated.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181222/7734edd81b4e31c96bf72905d1fc1ad2.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181222/b61976934e2282dc42ce701628b677bf.jpg

BTAs deflate and re-inflate pretty regularly. You don't need to worry unless/until the BTA looks a little like cottage cheese and begins to fall apart.

It looks like it is still attached to the rock, which is a positive sign. What size tank, how old, lighting, other inhabitants, params? More info would help.
The only thing that would concern me a little is it looks like it may have some of it's insides, outside. Otherwise, My BTA inflates and deflates quite regularly, though usually depending on the light.

First pic to second looks as though it may be moving? It might not like where you placed it. Mine frequently move(like once a month), and it's usually from one spot to another, but always the same 2 spots. No idea why the same 2 spots, but it has been doing it for well over a year now and still still super healthy.
When mine decide to move, they pretty much completely deflate, and look like sludge. Next day or so when they finally stop moving, they reinflate and look fine.
Unless it completely closes up and starts to look like cottage cheese, I would not worry about it.
