Hi all,

there is a fish tank at the hospital I'm employed at, and the pump, heater, etc. aren't working. A circuit is probably blown on the breaker that feeds every outlet within walking distance of the tank.

The room temp is around 70F, and I can tell the tank is cooling off, but still above room temp (it's probably around 75). Who knows how long it's been like this due to the holiday weekend.

How long do you think the inhabitants can go with the tank at this temperature?

it's got some anemones, tangs, some softies, a couple clowns.

Thanks!

Not much longer, It needs Circulation and Surface agitation for gas exchange/oxygenation. Things will start suffocating quickly.

After 12hrs you can have death without circulation. You can get some air stones and use them for a temp fix, but it can’t be left stagnate. Poor things :(

The temperature is not a problem at all.. Ive been running my reef tank at 70 all winter..

But assuming that the pump was the only source of water movement that is a problem..
Water movement is very important to help oxygenate the water..

Even a cheap powerhead on an extension cord would suffice until a permanent solution can be setup
