Finally caught this (not so) little bastard. Beautiful crab has been moved to the sump. Body about the size of a silver dollar. Came in on some Florida live rock.

He was very food motivated. I put some pellets in a net when I saw him active in the morning and he pretty much crawled right in. He's a beaut but still looking for an ID.

Looks like a Porcelain crab but that's just a guess on my part. If so, it's a keeper and reef safe.

He's pretty big for a porcelain. At least any that I've seen. Love the patterns though.

Claws are too big to be kept in the tank.

Definitely not a porcelain. Pretty awesome though.

With those tips, not a porcelain, maybe a tiny stone crab...

I was thinking stone crab but the pattern isn't consistent with anything I've found. He's pretty happy in the sump it appears and actually comes up front for feeding. I'll see how long he lasts in there. He's got a gorilla to keep him company.
