Best practice for feeding?

Hi,

I feed the fish in my 120g reef twice daily and would like to ask the more experienced reefers

1 - Skimmer. Leave it running or turn off (and if so for how long?)
2 - Return pump. Leave running or turn off?

Everything is automated via Apex so it's easy enough to do either way.

As long as that equipment isnt causing problems you cant solve by other methods leave them on... Nothing slows down in the wild..
If food is going into the overflow feeding rings or sinking food can help..

i usually just turn off my powerheads and leave the other things running. ideally you should only be feeding small amounts. i usually drop a little in, let them finish most of it, before adding a little more.

I believe this is one of the many things that really is up to you in this hobby. I turn off pump and powerheads to give the fish a quiet meal time. Others believe they should chase for it as they do in the wild...no biggies. Either way I am sure they'll eat.
