Hi,

I just got a medium acro from LA, it was perfect... it fell over last night. One branch on the floor of tank, easy access for a snail to try it... A large nassarius was on that branch. That part it was on is dead. The coral was perfect at lights out last night.
Is it possible it was the nassarius? or just coincidence?

coincidence. it was the side that was laying in the sand that now looks bleached?

Snails and worms are attracted to the scent of dead things, it is amazing how well tuned they are; however, they will not touch living tissue.
That being said, not all snails sold as nassarius snails are the same.

TY :) and also Mondo
The part(s) now two parts are dead, not bleached. It probably was coincidence. I clipped them off and superglued the ends remaining, hopefully it won't spread. TY
