I found it by my apartment dumpster and got excited until I saw the corner. So just out of curiosity filled the tank few days ago and so far its not leaking. Could it be trustworthy? When you run your finger nail along the outside area its totally smooth don't feel any cracks? Please advise.

I wouldn't trust that.

YMMV

I think there was a reason it was sitting next to a dumpster.

No way would I trust it.

There have been no issues, until there is a issue.

You may get lucky and not have a problem, now or ever.
But there would always be that little bit of doubt in my mind.

Good luck with it. Hope it holds up for as long as you need it.

Even if not leaking, I still wouldn't trust the integrity of it at this point. If 'I' were to take a chance with it, I would try to support the crack in some way. Windshield repair kits only cost $10 - $15. Not sure if it would really work on that sort of repair, but at $10 I think I would add to my piece of mind and try it. It couldn't hurt anything, and perhaps it might prevent a leak at some point.

Shorthened it 1 or 1 and half cm at left and right back and glue it. It may take time and a professional person to cut the glass but you will have an interesting tank with less money spent.
