View Full Version : dual outlet timers with separate controls?

I current am using 10 different manual timers on 2 different tanks.
Each tank has 2 T5 channels and 2 reef brite strips and a refugium light on a timer.

I recently looked into those new ( new to me) digital timers with dual outlets.
I looked the Home Depot and the Lowes brands, but everything I've seen so far may have 2 outlets, they can only be turned on and off at the same time.

Does anyone know of a brand/model that have dual controls?
The ability to have 2 lights plugged into it with different start and stop times?

I've seen a couple plastic power strips that are bluetooth controlled timers, and have the ability to have multiple different time programs.
I don't care for them because of the cost ( $50 -$75 each) and I don't care for plastic power strips.
Plus I already have my power source and don't want to change.

Using this in Google search yielded plenty of options..
"dual timer independent outlet"

and I know you said it already just wanted to state that there are numerous "wifi" controllable 4 channel power strips on Amazon,etc... that run $25 with 4.5-5 star reviews across the board.. Just wanted to say that $50-70 isn't necessarily the price point that you are forced into with those..

Thanks.
Sometimes my brain really shifts into neutral.
I'm always telling people, just google it and you will find almost everything. lol

The price point I was looking at were from recommendations from other reefers.

No, well, maybe.
But the instructions are somewhat hard to understand. Translation didn't go well.
I've already sent 1 back and am giving the other 2, 3rd and forth tries.

On one it just won't take the second outlets programing.
Seems to be stuck trying to add more programs ( up to 8 per outlet) to the first outlet.

On a good note, the one I think may be working, just switched off the first light at 7.
Now if it shuts the other off at 7:25, I'll be very happy.

Of the 2 brands I tried, I can only get the Nearpro T19S to work properly.
Or I should say it was the one I could get programmed.

I've tried 2 Century 7 timers and just can't get the second outlet to program.
Seems like a step is missing and I'm not smart enough to figure it out.

After a phone call to Century, I finally got the other timer programmed.
