What do you do when you’re stuck in your house because of coronavirus. Set up a new tank of course. I have been working on putting the pieces for this tank together for about a year. I built the stand myself and finally plumbed it to a 20 gallon sump that I built myself. It is also connected to a 29 gallon seahorse tank that I also drilled and plumbed. I will provide more details in upcoming posts. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200320/6f9901dbad50da879129dfdae328e1c2.jpg

nice. I love cubes. My next build will be a cube. I love my biocube, but I wish it was larger. Good luck with the build.

Will definitely be watching your build. I want to get an SCA 50g Cube down the road.

Added sand yesterday, I used Paleosand by Aquarium systems. I got this free from volunteering at MACNA last year. Added about 33 lb (15kg). It is a dry calcium carbonate sand. I like the grain size which was medium but it really made my tank cloudy for a day. I didn’t rinse the first bag (Directions said too) And man did it make my tank cloudy for about a day. I like the look and color. I have about a 1 to 2 inches in depth.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200326/4f5b3c855750e6686deeb610d387f3a4.jpg

Update on the build, coral and fish added. G5 Radion XR15 lighting, 3 Current USA eflux powerheads for gentle but good flow. It’s plumbed into a common sump that also has a 29 gallon zoa/softie tank. This tank is going to be a LPS tank. Everything is doing well, have a little cyano, but that’s to be expected for a new tank.
