Prepping myself for a return to reef keeping after a few years off. What do you all think about the proposed location? There is an outlet on the wall that will be repurposed. My hope is to get rid of the wall to allow for a full 3 sided view. 60x32x24 on the tank, 60x32x36 on the stand.

Any and all help/advice would be appreciated as I want to get this right the first time.

Are you giving up the doorway? Widening it? Or is it the wall with the outlet you're hoping to take out? Those tank corners are going to encounter some bumps, I'd think. Veteran of near 3 years of house remodel, here---if you're going to take out a wall, check with a good carpenter, being sure that's not load-bearing---that's first. Then ---is the tank already yours? My 105 gallon bow could almost fit that space...and once a bowfront is that big some of the inherent problems of fishy politics do moderate themselves a bit. I've gotten by with 1 radion, again, because of the shape.

Door way will still be 4ft even with tank present. Plan is to take out wall where outlet is and move outlet to wall behind where tank will be. Will eventually remove other wall (pictures as well upon confirming that they’re not load baring. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200712/d1a1de65ab3257057154485cb5154357.jpg

I think it would be better on the other side in the other room. Build the cabinet and a hood to the ceiling so you can run ventilation out the wall? Paint to match baseboard and crown molding. Still going to just out a bit much in that walk way, at least aesthetically. Can you take a picture of the space from the far corners of those 2 rooms?

Yes I’ll snap I pic, but the direct reason why I’m not installing the tank there are the stairs.
