I posted this in the soft coral section as well. I picked this up at my local fish store. It was a 10 dollar coral. The manager there said it was an SPS coral but it almost looks like a type of hairy mushroom? Any ideas?

Looks to possibly be metalic orange Stylocoenelia encrusting coral to me, or a different color maybe.

I'm 95% sure that's not SPS. Can you take a picture with the polyps retracted? Kind of looks like green star polyps to me :hmm2:

Could also be briarium, brown star polyps.
