Niger Trigger Tough as Hell

Last night I came in and realized I left the hood to my canopy lifted. At about the the same time, I saw my Niger on the floor in front of my tank. He as dry and stiff. I thought "damn...I'll never leave that thing open again" as I picked him up to flush him. My nephew happened to be here and said "let me try to resuscitate him" He took him, put him in the water, massaged his sides a bit and damn if he didn't swim away. He's fine. Crazy

Have heard many times… put fish back in tank, there is a chance that they can be revived!

Update...he is almost back to 100%. He hid for the first day, only coming out to eat which was a good sign and today he is almost normal. He is not quite as assertive as he was before which I'm attributing to him being hurt. He doesn't want any trouble right now. I still cannot believe this. I'm telling you he was stiff and dry. I had to peel him off of the hardwood floor. Check out the pics and you can see where he lost skin/scales during that process. I'll never just flush a dead fish again. He will now be known as Lazarus.

The wound where he was peeled from the floor started to look bad and I got worried. I was thinking of adding some sort of antibiotic to the tank but after a day or so it doesn't seem necessary. I have two cleaner shrimp that appear to clean his wound and remove dead skin/ scales etc. He just slides into a spot near their rock overhang and they go to work. It's cool to watch. Those guys are good for more than i thought.
