View Full Version : Movie in Eric Borneman's article, Jan04?

Do I have a bad install of the Quicktime 6.5 plugin, or is there something screwy with Eric Borneman's article?

When I first read it, it came up with an autodownload for Quicktime (which I cancelled). The article read fine, but the movie, obviously, didn't play (mp4, which realplayer couldn't handle). I then installed QT (6.5 free; Win XP Pro, IE6). Just to double check that the plugin is working, I went to the Apple QT site to view some movie trailers (Spiderman 2, cool, but haven't seen Spiderman 1 :eek1: ). I could view the trailers, but I don't know that it's necessarily the same format as the movie in Eric's article.

But now, when I try to load the reefkeeping.com page with Eric's article, I get a plug-in error, and IE6 dies?

Anyone else having this, or is it just me?

Thanks!

Clearly, it's a Microsoft IE6 bug :D

I'm working on it. Strange, been working fine for days now.

I removed the video so the article can be read until I get this resolved. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Skip,

Not a problem. It wasn't just me, then, but some weird Microsoft bug :D Thanks for taking care of it so quick!

Hy: I was having the same problem and was working on fixing it when I saw your reply here. Not a MS bug.

Skip, you should know to blame everything on Microsoft ;) (including global warming, the trilateral commission, etc.)

Seriously, thank you very much for working on it!!
