Thanks for calling attention to this. I forgot that it was up. The video of the Lysiosquillina catching a fish was taken at night with blue light that causes the stomatopod to fluoresce.
In fact, many stomatopods fluoresce, so if you have a uv light or one of the new "blue" aquarium lamps being sold to simulate moonlight, take a look at your animal.

Nope, I'm still in Australia, but I'm at the University of Queensland for a while and have email access. Next month it is back into the field and off line again.

Cool, have fun scuba diving- sounds pretty neat to study stomatos for a living :) Better than hacking and pulling teeth :(. I wish I were a marine biologist...
