View Full Version : Correct lighting?

Dear all, I guess this is the place to ask for a definitive answer on my lighting.

I have a 24x18x24 (deep) o/f tank and am running 2x150w HQIs on it at the moment. Inhabitants are softies, clams and a RBTA (well 2 following the split). Do you think this would be enough? A couple of the clams are on the bottom of the tank.

I have a 250w MH from Aquatic lighting systems with a 12000k bulb but am not currently using it, do you think I should put this over the tanks as well, or would this be too much light?

Any advice gratefully received.

Matt

No such thing as too much light for clams, especially maxima and crocea clams....I think they would love it!
