Hi...

I just bought a LiterMeter 1 from another ReefCentral member. I believe he bought it new, but never used it. It did not include all of the original packaging, but did appear to be unused.

I set it up and ran the calibration procedure. I set it to dose roughly 2 gallons per day, and left. But, when I came home... the water level was very low.

I tested the pump, and it seems that whatever I set the output to be, it doses the same amount. It does dose every ~9 minutes like it is supposed to, but it seems set on dosing a very small bit each time.

I have played with all of the settings, turned it off and on to set them, but nothing seems to change the output each interval.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a master "reset" that might need to be applied? Can you offer any tips?

Please let me know.

arinick,

Sounds like we need to take a look at it.
There's a $40 charge for cleaning and refurbishing,
but if the circuit board needs replacing, it's $100.
Call me if you'd like to discuss a third alternative.
Otherwise, send it to my attention at:

Scott-

Thanks to you and SpectraPure for taking such good care of me. My LiterMeter has been setup and running flawlessly for a few weeks now, and I honestly couldn't be happier.

I would not hesitate to recommend your company or its products to anyone.

Hi Scott,
I've developed a problem with my LM1 as well. the status light still blinks, but it no longer pumps water at regular intervals. if i turn off the LM and change the pump rate to 99.99, it will pump when i turn it back on. if i change the rate back to 4.5 (my evap rate), it does not pump when i turn it back on.

any suggestions?

thanks,
jeff
