I have fingernail-sized tiny clams in sand bed. Recently, I find some of their empty shells on the sand bed here and there. I think something has been eating them. I have a diamond goby, a brittle star, a sea urchin, conches, and a sandstar as a possible culprit. I also have some bristle worms, a tiny 1 1/2" long pistol shrimp, hermit crabs, and a sally light foot crab.

The diamond goby constantly sifts the sand, time to time disturbing the tiny clams, but no way does the goby eat them. My suspicion is on the sandstar. Any idea?

I agree that it would be the sand star. It will likely (if it hasnt already) consume the rest of your life in the sand bed,, then one day you will be joinging the crowds that think DSB are a bad thing (if you are using a DSB). your gobies will also decimate your sand bed of life.
