I was out of town for a few days and when I came home my IC660 was making a fast clicking noise. The lights didn't seem to be as bright. I am running 4 - 54w T5's. The T5's have been running for 4 months. The IC660 is 10 years old. What do you think the problem is? Should I send it in for repair?

Thanks for your help

Running T-5's on a ballast that old is part of the problem. Back then we had the older model internal power supply which was not built to run T-5's. Being that old you can send it in and we will see if it can be repaired. Be advised some parts for that ballast are now obsolete but we will give it our best shot.

Is this possible? The ballast was making the lights flicker in the entire house. I have dimers on the kitchen lights and all the outside lights. When the IC660 ballast is on, all the lights on dimmers flicker. Even my GFI circuit blows and none of these are on the same circuit as the aquarium. Could the ballast be back feeding something to the fuse panel?

Please call Chris at IceCap as we have previously had customers with a rheostat somewhere in their home disrupting the IceCap ballast.
Never the other way around though.
800-742-3227 ext. 22 for Chris.

The ballast is on it's way to you. You should see it Tuesday morning via UPS next day air. I have included my address and phone number for you to call back after you take a look at it.
