bladder tank necessary?

Is the bladder pressure tank necessary in these reefkeeping RO filter setups? I thought that was only used for the drinking water application. I am thinking of using the output of the filter directly to a 15 gallon (non-pressurized) reservoir and will use float valves and a solenoid to shut the main house feed on and off. The filtered water output hose will go directly to the reservoir with no valves in the way. Is this OK for proper membrane operation? Thanks.

Thay are for drinking water systems.
