I noticed in your compatibility chart of your most recent article, it said that istigobius and dragonets would live peacefully together. I was wondering if there would be any competion for food, since it seems as though they both feed off of similar organisms (copepods, etc.)? And if so, which fish would be more likely to lose out in the fight to eat more bugs?

Urlacher,
these fish can coexist peacefully, but as you are already aware of, the food requirements may conflict. this is strictly dependant upon the size aquarium and the amount of microfauna produced by your aquarium. a small aquarium will undoubtedly not be able to sustain both fish.
if the aquarium was unable to sustain both fish, IMO the dragonette would be the one to suffer simply because these fish often refuse to accept prepared foods while an istigobous will likely consume all sorts of prepared foods.
