ok. my friend dennis is getting me one of these fixtures. http://www.premiumaquatics.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=ESU-53106&Category_Code=Aqualight and i was wondering what kind of corals i can keep under them. i have 55g tank. 48''longX13''wideX20''tall. are the actinics usable like moonlights or do i need to purchase moon lights. can i have more3 info on these fixtures. thanx.

Hi,

That unit would be good for keeping soft corals and lps corals in your 55gal tank. I would not recommend keeping any sps, besides maybe some Montipora or Seriatapora pieces, and I would not recommend any clams. Just about anything else you would be open for.

The actinics would not be suitable for using as moonlights, as they would be too bright. You could however check out the Lunar Light from Coralife, which has LED moonlights built in already.
