Ya i have a tridacnid clam that i orderd from the internet and they gave me the wrong kind but o well i'd send a pic of it but im not sure how to.

Yea I have 1 Gold maxima and another I think is an off color maxima under 330 watts of lighting in a 40gal, so it's only like 14 inchs tall the odd one I have had for almost 2 years and the other about 2 months. I will try to get some pics up of them.I can't wait till wendsday I have a 3 inch Blue teardrop Maxima coming from Dr.Mac. The oldest one I bought for 10 bucks it was about a inch or less and now is about 2 inchs from a fish shop that is now out of business.

Naw, it was a real little clam(less then an inch) and I used to get big discounts from them. I thought it was a pretty good deal myself thats why I bought it, this was my first clam too. Once I get my 125 up and running I want to get a crocea like bump321's, prolly have one of each of the smaller clams.

Azurel do you have a pic. of your 10.00 clam. I won this crocea clam with a raffle ticket. The tickets where 1$ each, i got 10 of them so i guss mine cost me $10.00 to. I have three more clams i will try to post them soon.

It prolly would have grown more but I never fed it so I think that slowed its growth down abunch. I have phyto now and it seems to have picked up a bit. I'm really not sure what kind it is though.

Yea, I'm acclimating the teardrop now, so I will prolly do it tomorrow see as I'm gonna slowly acclimate the clam to the new light conditions.I don't want to stress it out any more then it already is, it looks killer though just in the day light coming from the windows. I'll have pics up tomorrow.....

Hi Azurel, hows that teardrop doing.
I got this clam at the LFS in town. This was her first clam order its a good thing we stoped in she had around 6 of them it was the smallest of the bunch but it had the best look to us. I hope she will order them every now and then.

Clam is doing great... going toget some picks from the top-down this weekend been a little heck-tic around here. Yea that is a very nice clam, I saw one here in town at small fish shop it had almost the same color pattern as yours but it was like 8 inchs and I didn't have the money or the room for it. Yea mogas is really cool too, keep us posted on that clam of yours.....

Azurel, is it time for a bigger tank. Im almost out of room to. It would be nice if we could just add 6 more inches to the front of the tank so we could have more sandbed for more clams.

Hi 7130, yes i was told that it is a maxima. When i got it the store said it was a crocea. So no you are not wrong it is a maxima.
