Hi Roger.

My Singlecontroller 7091 is a version ("06/2000") that does not have the fish protector spin of the prop during food timer engagement (I believe I read that later models do have this feature?).

Anyway, is there any reason I should not "screen" the front of the suction housing?

The 6000 has been running for a couple of weeks now and is performing without flaw, as expected.

Thanks,

Steve

The problem is with the low pressure flow, any screening drastically reduces flow. We are working on a mechanical shutter solution but don't expect it until next year as we have too many products in the works right now. You could also change the driver to 7240.27 which has fish care function, but this is an expensive option at about $80.

Okay, I suspected that about screwing with the flow...

As I'm going to emphasize small fish I'll consider the new driver.

Thanks again.
