flow pattern of 6200

[reefer on a budget]

thinking of adding a 6100 to my 8x2x20" 200 gallon. i am also considering the 6200, which is nearly double the output of the 6100. would this work well on a 2" wide tank or is it over kill? keep in mind i already have am3k on a CL and mag 18 return.

It is overkill- both pumps generate a 6-7ft flow column. The 6200 is a 30" diameter column and the 6100 is 24". On all but the largest tanks the 6200 doesn't make much sense.
