For information on the Oklahoma Marine Aquarium Society, please contact Eric West at westeric@earthlink.net.

OMAS is a non-profit society created to share ideas on marine aquariums in the Tulsa area. We are the oldest marine aquarium society in the state, beginning in 1997.

Monthly meetings, quarterly newsletters, and special functions (guest speakers, auctions & workshops) are all part of OMAS.

Look for flyers at your local fish store for monthly meeting information, as well as here on Reef Central!

Hope to see and/or hear from you soon!

Happy reefing,
Eric West
OMAS President

Hi Eric,

If you want any posts made "sticky" so they stay at the top of the forum, like I have done with this one, please PM any of the Reef Central Moderators. You can also do the same to make them "unsticky."

Chris,

Membership is 20.00 per year per family/individual. We will be having a membership drive in September. Posters and flyers with membership forms will be at your local fish stores soon!

Thanks for your interest.

You can bring $20 for the membership fee and sign up at the next meeting. Information about the next meeting is available in the June meeting threads. It will be a SPS fragging workshop held at Ultimate Reefs, located at 61st. and Memorial.

Hello Matsuda66,

Having started OMAS almost 15 ?? years ago, and having worked hard and succesfully to reinvigorate OMAS in 2003, 2004 & 2005, Eric West stepped down as OMAS President in November 2005. I am OMAS's new President so at this point, the best way to contact OMAS is to send me a PM.

Looking forward to meeting you. Thanks for your interest.

Sincerely,
George Davenport
OMAS 2006 President

Hello papagimp !!

OMAS doesn't hold meetings in Oklahoma City, but hope to co-host one or two meetings in 2007 with the COMAS, the Central Oklahoma Marine Aquarium Society. COMAS is very active and has a great club.

Here is a link to their forum on Reef Central:

Thanks for asking about OMAS though !

Sincerely,
George Davenport

I do appreciate the quick response. And if you'll notice the signature on my post above, I know all about COMAS, lol and invite all to come by and say hello. Maybe I need to find a house to buy somewhere between tulsa and oklahoma city eh? :D

Oh man, i didn't realize you were a member of both clubs travis! Way to go! It's good to know these two clubs don't go at each other like OSU and OU clubs do, lol.
