I need your input!! Would this light be sufficient for my 75 g tank, water is 18 inches deep. The hood comes with 2 150W de MH and 2 96 PC actinics. I want to keep T. Maxima and some corals. I want to be able to keep the clam on the bottom as I think that looks more natural. I was also looking at the SLS Maristar with 2 250w DE and 2 54w t5 actinics. The Aqualight is about $300 cheaper and has legs. I appreciate your help.

Go with the maristar!
150w might not be enough to keep a clam (and other things) on the bottom...250 would be no problem for anything at any level. Also, T5 is much, much superior than PCs.

Those 150w DE are MORE than enough light to keep clams on the bottom of a 75. We have the Coralife 150w DE pendants on our tank at work (same exact bulbs) and have 3 diff clams (max, crocea, squamosa) all are thriving and have very noticable new growth. I would personally say save the money and get the coralife. And for all those people out there that have not seen Coralife's new "Professional series" i suggest you do because the quality and workmanship is beyond anything they have put out before.

I probably would have already purchased one if they sold 2x250 MH's. I hate to spend the extra $300 on a Maristar but the extra light, at least on my 120, would make a difference (I believe).
They look like a great solution and should be ample on a 75.
