What could happen if a maxima/ crocea is relocated from a dimm light area to 18" from 250W MH without any acclimation?

it would probably freak out and stay almost completely closed for awhile, I dont know if it would kill it or not.

I moved my Crocea & Derasa from a 29g with PC lights to a 55g with dual 250w MH lights and started them down on the sandbed at 2 hours for a week with an increase of 2 hours per week up towards 8 hours.
They fared fine and actually opened up nicely and colored up even more intensely.
