I have about 2inch sand so my tank is 16inc high .Would it be better if I stick with brown maximas?or does it mattre?
I like the blue ones.
Thanks in advance,

What type of bulb is that 150watt? If it is MH I would say it would be ok. Sand with that depth on the tank is fine. You can always stick a shell or piece or rock under it buried in the sand so the maxima can plant there.

Is the bulb a DE 150.........also depends on the size of the clam, but if you have a DE 150 I t hink you could get away with it....coloration buy the color you prefer , with the golds do not need as much light as the brighter colored clams.....just place the clam directly beneath the bulb on the bottom....on a small falt rock so it can atach and then you can move it around if necessary....like mentioned in the above post...
