Hello people of Tunze Land... I just bought two 6060's from Marine depot and I have questions.

I know the 6060's don't support throttling from 30% to 100% like the more expensive models, but there has to be a good way controll these beasties. I'd like to run them on alternating cycles without voiding my warrantee.

Can I run them using two digital timers with say a 15 minute on, 15 minute off cycle??

Can I wire them up with a 7091 + branch adapter, or a 7094 controller and cycle them that way.

I've done several searches and so and I've seen conflicting opinions on a few things, but one thing seems certain, wave timers are NOT an option.

Thanks,

you can only turn them off and one once an hour. It will burn up the brake if you dont.

Yes, the only control option is timers with at least a one hour interval. Doing otherwise will destroy the clutch mechanism for unidirectional movement and eeventually destroy the pump.

Thanks guys. So can can't use any of the high tech Tunze gizmo's with these pumps?!?! Even in a reduced capacity??

Oh well, I'll put them on my X.10 system with a 1 hour interval then. Running this way is OK warrenty wise, right?

Yes, the warranty provides for one hour intervals. All the controllers we make work with a computer interface only the electronic pumps have.

Cool. I guess that will do. Thanks for the help.

These things Rock!!!

I am probably going to leave both of them on all the time just because I like watching my fish surf!
