Can you recommend an automatic control device (float switch or similar device) for the automatic topoff of my SUMP. I do not process the water through a holding tank, instead the blue line goes straight to my sump (380 gallon tank with a 100 gallon sump). I have tried two other manufactures float switches but they leak. Drilling my sump is not a problem since it is acrylic. With my current setup the ro system cycles about every 5 seconds off and on and allows a couple of drops in the sump. The system is 100 gpd and operates on 45 psi city water pressure. a specific product in your line up for this style installation would be appreciated.
Thanks, Jeff

MANY have given up their osmo-thingies for the LLC-S (and its big brother, the LLC-M-115):

Can you tell me what the white cylinder is for? I am not worried about the price difference, I just want to make the best purchase once.
thanks for the reply

It's a mini bladder tank that acts as a damper to the undesirable stutter that a mechanical float does just before it turns off or on. It's hard on the membrane, especially in high-pressure houses.
Since a barrel is filled up once and shuts off, it's OK. Evaporating sumps are another story. That's the reason for the LLC-S.

Thanks for the reply Scott. So if I understand you correctly, and price is not a concern. Either one of the recommendations will be fine for direct sump filling from the RODI.
What is the benefit to the one with the bladder for my type of installation? Maybe to set up a second line for occasional water changes?
