These have sprouted up all over the sand bed. They are gold in color and have a root that goes down about 1 1/2 inchs. The plants leaves (if you call them that) are only about the size of a strand of hair. I also noticed while taking the photo I have some growing on my LR also. Can anyone tell me if these are good or bad for my tank. I've did some checking and cant seem to find any information to identify them. If they are bad I'm going to start removing them. Sorry for the bad picture. It came off a lot better from my camera than it shows up on here. http://http://reefcentral.com/gallery/data/500/42115unknown_plant_re__Custom_.jpg

Hi Deb,

The picture doesn't seem to be working. I really can't think of what they would be based on that description. I'm sure they only way it is bad for your tank is if you find it unattractive. Its presence might be an indicator of lots of nutrients (either nitrogen or phosphorous or both) being present.

Well last night I decided to remove one of the 50 of them :( and realized it was a worm. What I thought was a root is the base of a worm. When I pulled it out it wiggled all over the place like I was killing it. It did eventually put itself back in the sand.

The picure didnt show up for some reason but there is one in my photo gallery under help identify. I'm going to post this in a different thread to question about different worm like animals.
