My Rodi is producing 4-5 tds (ppm) coming out of my ro unit before my di. Do I need to get my tds to "0" coming out of my "ro" in order for the "di" to work properly? I have a Spectrapure "purity monitor" for my water after the "di" & it says to "check the system." My water pressure is 62 psi coming into my ro & about 60 going into my membrane. I would like to change both prefilters & the membrane than check my tds. My TDS coming into my home is between 230-270ppm. I am assuming that brand new prefilters & membrane will create a "0" ppm after my ro, is that correct? Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks
Brian

Your membrane is in excellent shape, ((270-5)/270=) 98.15% rejection is great.
You don't (and can't) get TDS of RO down to zero, unless your tap water TDS is less than 100.
Your sediment filter is in good shape, dropping only 2 psi out of 62.
Your Purity Monitor is telling you to change the DI cartridge, that's all.

Ok, great! I changed my DI & now my monitor reads "water ok". Thanks for the info, now I know.
On a similar note, now my water doesn't prioritize to the LLC in my sump like it used to. The only thing I did different that I can think of is, I took apart the #4 check valve & put teflon tape on it because it was leaking, than I assembled it & put it back together, is there a certain way to assemble those check valves? Maybe I did not assemble it correctly when I put it back together & that is why it does not prioritize to the LLC anymore.

Nevermind, I let it run for 30 mins, & it began to work properly. Thanks again!!
