I have an osmolator and all of a sudden there is a problem. Of course I'm leaving in 5 hours and will be out of town for a week.

I got an extra large container for the water, a 40+ gallon heavy duty trash can that is 4' tall. It used to be in a 24" tall container. Now when the pump shuts off to refill, there is a syphon and the water keeps coming. I think it's because the tubing goes up 4' and down 4'. How can I fix this? I looked thru my osmo box and there is no kind of syphon break or anything.

Talk about bad timing. Help?

Thanks,

David

You will have to run the pump return higher than your supply container. If you can extend the return to the back of the tank.

Yes, a siphon break would be unreliable, it has to pump up, that is the only way.
