Dunno if you guys can help me.

I'm in Sweden and bought a used system with a Tunze skimmer, cant find any info on the skimmer itself about which model it is. Been looking at the Tunzepage to try and compare it with the models there.

It looks like the tunze 3115 - 3130 skimmers but differs in some areas, The "motor" is 19 watt on mine, but the ones on the tunzesite is 12? and 21? watt i believe.

Do you know if any older model of tunzeskimmers used a 19watt pump/motor?

How big is the throat- riser tube- of the skimmer cup? The 3115, is maybe 30mm and the 3130 is about 60mm. I am not very familiar with the oldest Comline units and the wattages of European motors was different from the US. The cup is the best way to find the answer.

Heya

Thanks for replying.

I measured the "troat" of the foam-cup, it is 85mm.

Any idea?

It is a 3130. I was estimating and hadn't actually measured. That is too big to be a 3115 for sure. I think the old pump actually did use 19-20W, the new one uses a little more. I know we need one more watt with the new drive unit.

I think it must be 3:30 in Sweden? You should sleep :)

I have a 3130 skimmer at 10.5" in depth. The pump is running but nothing is happening, I mean nothing is reaching the collection cup, not even close. Where is the air intake? Am I doing something wrong? It has been "running" for days like this. What should I do? Thanks.

It sounds like the venturi is not connected. Remove the pump and be sure the air inlet tube is inserted in the venturi. The white screw at the top under the cup is the venturi adjustment, this should be open 2.5-3 turns.
