I've got a 180 gallon that will soon have a DSB. Currently I'm using dual 6100s for flow, but I feel like it's not as much as I'd like.

Would a 6200 be too much for a 6' tank with a DSB?

and part 2:

Would adding a wavebox be a good idea/bad idea with a DSB? Anyone currently using one on a tank with a sand bed? I'd love to hear some firsthand experience.

TIA

I have 2x6100's and a Wavebox on my 330 gallon (96x30x30) and I have a big ol DSB in there (about 750 pounds of Southdown). The addition of the wavebox did nothing to the sandbed. The depth of my bed varies from a couple inches in places up to 8" in others.

IMO, I don't think you need the 6200 and the Wavebox. Just get the wavebox, it will be awesome on your tank to complement the 6100's you already have.

I agree- just add the wavebox.
