My clam has kinda moved himself a little bit today and has been touching a colony of Zoanthids all day. Is this bad? Will either thing hurt the other?

Thanks,
KC

Should be ok. Rarely anything stings a clam. My anemone hosted my clams shell for a couple days.

Thanks, I just like to let things be as much as possible, so I 'll leave him alone.

I have my clam next to some zoos and there's no problem I can see.

I have zoos that touch one clam and hairy mushrooms that touch another . Both clams do great and show no reaction.

Most zoos aren't very aggressive IME, especially with something as innocuous as a clam.

if the shell is touching then i think its okay, but if the mantle then, maybe u shoudl watch out..

whats that supposed to mean??

i'm just stating my ideas and experience.. mine was bothered a bit.. it wouldn't extend out that much and when i did mines opened up further..

means nothing:) I was just showing my zoas touching my gold teardrop. I am not saying your wrong . Just showing that mine doesn't mind. Who knows maybe yours were touching more than mine ? My Blue maxima gets touched by my hairymushrooms all the time and its always in full mantel mode.

Just sharing my experience ;)

typically i dont think theres an issue if they are just "touching"...

i have thought of intentionally attaching zoos to clam shells (just another piece of unused realestate) just like in clkwrk's pic, but was concerned that in the long run the zoos might try to spread over the edge onto the inside of the shell, thus creating a problem that would probably result in the death of the clam????

anyone had zoos on a clam for the long term? have you had zoos fully cover a clam shell and just stop there? as in they didnt try to spread over the edge?
