XM10,000K and 250W Ballast

Fact or fiction...

I heard that the XM10,000K bulbs don't "work" with the 250W MH IceCap electronic ballast.

Is this true? :(

Here are two threads that address that question. The understanding I have is the DE XM 250-watt MH bulb does not operate correctly with our Model 250-MH ballast.

I have SE 10k XM bulbs so they should fire on the Icecap ballast.
Most sites that sell them say they will not work.
