I have had a C. squamosa for about a year and when I first got it, it grew and calcified very well. I had a time period that the Ca got low (Ca 350 and 6Dkh) now back up to normal and I feed Phyto about 1x a week and although the color is good it will not calcify, Whats the problem?
Tank Parameters(as of this morning):
Dkh 10
Ca 410
NO2 0
PO4 (ortho) 0
No3 0
Calculated Cell count of feeding ~1000cells/ml tank when feeding
Tetraselmis ~1.1
Nannochloropis ~37
Isochrysis ~4.9
Skimmer doing well
Supplement Spectral Vital about 2x a month (recommended dose)
It seems everytime I add Phyto the clam doesn't want to have anything to do with them .
Oh size 2.5-3.25"
