why is this happening????

What is this on my Cap he is on the bottom about 20 inches below the MH. This guy is over 10 inches and growing rapidly. I have both softies and SPS and everything seems to be doing great. Over the last 3 weeks 2 small frags have simply died without any warning and now this!!! all parameters are perfect.
I know that a mixed reef is not recommended and I will be setting up another tank for the softies soon but If i am killing everything I will speed up the process. I run 175 MH lighting about 10 inches from the water plus supplimental actinics. 12 hour actinics and 6 hours of MH


Tank is 36X18X16 (40 breeder) large seaclone (not great but sufficent) skimmer pulls about 1 cup per week

if you recently adde other corals you migt have got some Monti eating nudis aswhell! take a look on this site! i belive its posible to get it translated in englis too!
