I have Halimeda Opuntia,and several other species of calcified algae that are beginning to thrive in my tank.What are the pros and cons of letting this stuff grow?Do they gobble up the calcium in my system?My CA level is about 480 right now,as of last weeks test.I have really never used Florida live rock,but got a deal on some last year and kept it in a smaller tank until I recently got a bigger tank to make room for combining my two tanks.The algae was doing good in that tank too.All the snails had the tea saucer algae growing on them.Looked like little radar dishes!Thanks!
