I was just curious if you guys have tried one of these new items out. I'm pretty interested in finding out how well they work. Most test kits for calcium are hard to tell what color the kit is actually showing, so a digital readout would be excellent.

Hi Mike,

They work extremely well. We have been testing one for about 3 days now. It took a day or so for the probe to settle in, but since then it has been extremely accurate.

Hi can you please clarify some info. So everytime I use it do I have to slide down the door? Also I let the fluid leak out so do i have to recalibarate it again?
Thanks Vic

Vic,

Yes you would need to slide the door down every time you want to use it. I would recommend doing another calibration if it has completely leaked out.

These probes are most accurate in a non moving water environment (typically not our tanks or sumps), so we have found them to work best when putting a sample into a cup, etc, and measuring out of there.

Aqua_expert,

Price on them is $249.
