I am upgrading my mantis into a 16 gallon bf, and am wondering what type of filtration would be best. I currently have a normal mechnical filter w/ rubble running in his smaller tank now, but I recently purchased an aqua c remora protein skimmer for my 55 gal. I bought it used off this forum, and the lady used it as her main source of filtration (plus LR and another powerhead on a 44g) Would a hang on protien skimmer be better than mechanical, or should i go with a conventional approach? Or I have also found these "skilters" but i am not sure what kind of quality these things have to offer... Any suggestion would be appreciated
