Hey guys,
My maxima clam was recently unfortunately torn from his roost. I do not know where his foot went, but he does not seem to have one any more, either. He left behind some byssal threads on his rock. I also found a rubbery, halidimeda-looking thing that I also beleive may have been a part of him previously. The hole is very clean...see the following pics. He is fully extending and is not gaping, so I am hopeful.

And here's the tank he's in. 15g, 150w DE HQI 10,000k MH, CPR BakPak 2R, 5g fuge, Mag-Drive 1700 gph closed loop. Tank gets 10% (2 gallons) water change every other day, gets fed DT's phyto on every other day. I dose B-Ionic and drip Kalk for top-off.

I just had that happen to mine. He was torn from his roost and when he put his foot out in my tank, I was really concerned because it was pretty bad. After a couple of days he ejected it and a week later, he was regrowing it. I would make sure your clam gets enough to eat during his process.
