CPR Backpac Modifcation

I'd like to know if anyone has octoproofed a Hang on CPR Bakpac.I had an idea to glue nylon screen over the return spout but what about the pump?I also wonder if the screen will clog and restrict the outflow causing the skimmer to overflow?

a/p our conversation I drilled thought the canopy for the intake and return lines. I got some of that plastic screen that you cover you gutters with and with soldering tourch heated up the rim of the return and then pressed the screen into the softend plastic, and trimmed around the outside .. looks and feels like one piece now....the mesh is course enough to allow any particulates through but small enough to keep the critters in...

My grammer ain't no better :).Sounds like you did better using gutter guard i didn't thimk of that.
